Hi, I’m Diwani!

From a young age I’ve always liked making things, from birthday cards, drawings of my family to scrapbooks. My dad was a wedding videographer so I have always been interested in the wedding industry and what he does. At the age of 10/11 he taught me how to use photoshop so you could imagine what my scrapbooks started to look like! I quickly began to realise that I had gained some serious creative genes from him.

As a full time Graphic Designer I found myself not completely content with the amount of satisfaction my job was giving me, so I tried different things such as making cakes, taking photographs, making saree blouses & clothes – but nothing was giving me the fulfilment I was after.Both of my sisters got married in 2015 and I took on the responsibility of making all the stationery for their weddings, which led on to making things for a friend’s wedding and that’s when I realised that this is what I want to do.So with the support and backing from my partner and my family – I started “Made By Diwani” in 2016 where I could finally express my passion for making beautiful things. It’s been over six years and I have learnt so much about myself and the wedding industry!

My favourite part of working on wedding stationery is that I get to be a part of so many different wedding and events and learn about all the different cultures and traditions!
