We founded Indian Gift Hampers to celebrate our rich, vibrant and diverse Indian culture. Our culture is who we are. It’s the beauty of the kathak dance, the exotic spices in our food, the spiritual mantras, the entertainment of Bollywood movies, the colours of Holi, and the intricacy of our handicraft… There is so much to celebrate!
Exchanging gifts has always been an important part of the Indian community. Whether it’s gifting murti, or adding the extra pound or rupee when giving money (£51, £101, etc), gifting has always represented something more, and created bonds between families.
The Bhagavad Gita tells us: “A gift is pure when it is given from the heart to the right person at the right time and at the right place, and when we expect nothing in return.”
