This week, we are taking a look at this beautiful destination wedding in Thailand. Savil & Mitali absolutely love to travel, so it was an obvious no-brainer to get married abroad. Starting from their passport-style invites, all the way to their wedding decor: the couple got super creative to make their wedding a beautiful experience for themselves and all their wedding guests.

“Whimsical dreams crafted together”
Over the course of an eventful year, we embarked on a whirlwind adventure with this amazing couple! We bravely faced the unpredictable twists of the pandemic, navigating through a maze of postponed dates with enthusiasm. Amidst the chaos, we embarked on a quest to find the ultimate dream destination, weaving through a tapestry of options until we stumbled upon the perfect spot.
Once the venue was locked in, our journey became even more exciting – from energetic venue recce to indulging in delightful food tastings, and countless dry runs that turned into playful rehearsals. Together, we transformed the ordinary into the extraordinary, ensuring that every moment of their special day was not just perfect but absolutely magical!
Our journey with this exceptional couple was nothing short of extraordinary. From our initial meetings filled with excitement and anticipation to the final moments of their breathtaking wedding day, every step of the way was marked by their unique qualities that made them truly unforgettable.
What set Mitali & Savil apart was their love story reflected into every aspect of the wedding celebration. Whether it was their mutual love for travel reflected in the choice of a destination wedding or their shared appreciation for art evident in the meticulously crafted decor, every detail was a testament to their deep connection and shared dreams.
Moreover, their openness to new ideas and creative concepts was inspiring. They embraced innovative approaches to traditional elements, blending it seamlessly with contemporary styles which added a layer of authenticity to the entire event.
In essence, their unique spirit made the planning process a joy, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege to be part of their special day.
The couple were avid travellers and thus the theme which was created around it. The choice of the destination, hotel, even the invites, welcome hampers in the room, the welcome letter by the bride and groom, choice of food and beverage everything entered around a wedding – a celebration – a vacation.
The invites were designed in a shape of the passport with an arrival stamp of Thailand. The couple wanted a destination and hotel they and their guests had not seen before and we ensured they had a wonderful time.
My favorite aspect of planning this wedding was witnessing Maitali & Savil’s creativity and enthusiasm come to life. Their openness to unique ideas and their willingness to explore innovative concepts allowed us to create a truly magical and one-of-a-kind celebration.
Collaborating with them, understanding their vision, and bringing their dreams into reality was incredibly fulfilling and inspiring.
Maitali & Savil were very clear what they wanted and that really helped planning the entire event. Throughout they trusted us, the planning process, and remained open to creative ideas. Their adaptability allowed us to seamlessly navigate unexpected changes, turning hurdles into memorable moments. In addition, with simplicity as their superpower, they curated themes, chose a picture perfect venue that echoed elegance, prioritized food that danced on taste buds, and orchestrated the event flow like a well-choreographed dance, giving guests just enough time to rest between the festivities. Their wedding wasn’t just another ritual; it was a wonderful get-away which we can summarize as “a wedding, a celebration and a vacation.”
One memorable hiccup during the planning process was the persistent rain that disrupted many outdoor arrangements, leading to a last-minute change of venue or delay in setting up the place. We swiftly coordinated with vendors and the new venue, seamlessly transitioning the event while ensuring the couple’s vision remained intact.
The rain, though initially concerning, inspired creative solutions. We embraced the weather, for example our pool party turned into a rain dance event and the moment the rains stopped, everyone changed and jumped into the pool. The sangeet initially outdoors had to be moved inside, turning the cozy indoor spaces for intimate moments. By embracing the unexpected, the wedding took on a unique charm, creating an atmosphere of warmth and spontaneity that enchanted everyone present.
In times of uncertainty, our experience and quick thinking allowed the couple to relax and trust that their day was in capable hands. By turning challenges into opportunities, we transformed what could have been a setback into a beautiful, unforgettable celebration, demonstrating the power of adaptability and creativity in making dreams come true despite unexpected twists.
My advice to future couples would be to prioritize open communication and collaboration. Be honest about your expectations, dreams, and concerns, and don’t hesitate to share even the tiniest details that matters to you. Trust your instincts, and don’t be afraid to infuse your personality into every aspect of the wedding. Remember that this day is a celebration of your love story, so make choices that reflect both of your passions and interests.
Additionally, set a realistic budget early on and prioritize your spending based on what matters most to both of you. Be open to exploring different options and trust your wedding planner’s expertise in making informed decisions. Moreover, Stay organized by creating a timeline and checklist, and don’t hesitate to delegate tasks to your wedding planner, friends, or family members. This will alleviate stress and allow you to focus on enjoying the journey and the special moments leading up to your big day.
Lastly, on the wedding day itself, take a moment to step back, breathe, and absorb the love and joy around you. The day goes by quickly, so be present in each moment, from the ceremony to the dance floor. Embrace any imperfections, as they often turn into cherished memories. Your wedding day is a celebration of your love story, so let it reflect your personalities, and most importantly, have fun!
