Love at first sight definitely isn’t a myth, especially when it comes to Seema & Shannon. The couple met at a boot camp class, which Shannon was teaching, in Los Angeles in 2009. Shannon specifically turned to her friend and said “I’m going to marry her” as she saw Seema walk in.

The beautiful couple marked a milestone, by being the first Indian lesbian wedding to take place in America, at the time. Surrounded by love & friendship, Seema & Shannon had a stunning fusion wedding, with Seema in a bright red lehenga and Shannon in a traditional white wedding dress.

After meeting on Grindr & having an incredible proposal in Las Vegas, it was time for Milan & Jai’s dreamy fairytale wedding; and no better location than a palace for royalty as their venue. Born & raised in the UK, Milan & Jai had previously openly spoken about their battles with coming out to the South Asian community, despite the love & support they have always received from their close friends & family.

However, in 2019, the inspiring couple tied the knot in a beautiful traditional ceremony, consisting of tons of laughter, food, drinks & dances (including an incredible flash mob by Milan’s siblings – so we’ve heard!).

Milan & Jai made sure that their ceremony was grand & personalised to their relationship. From their bespoke embroidered sherwani’s, designed by Milan & brought to life by Sonas Couture, to their monogrammed wedding cake & wedding stationery, topped off with their favourite Beatles track “All You Need Is Love” as they made their exit as Husband & Husband; Milan & Jai’s entire wedding emulated pure love throughout.

Bianca & Saima

VIA SENNA AHMAD

‘Love Without Borders’ is a phrase that beautifully resonates with Bianca & Saima, who come from a combination of Columbian, Indian, Christian & Pakistani descent. After meeting at a spoken word performance called ‘Coming Out Muslim’, the two hit it off instantly and slowly blossomed into something very special.

The couple were adamant that they wanted to incorporate all their backgrounds in their wedding, in a way which was respectful & personalised. They had a 4 events, each with their own theme & DIYs, and chose to opt for matching outfits throughout.

Bianca & Saima praised their loved ones, saying they really couldn’t have done it without them. All the little details had input from everyone. They headed to downtown Los Angeles the day before their wedding, to hand pick fresh flowers from the flower market and arranged them together for their ceremony. A truly heartwarming story.
