It’s a trend that’s been around for years, and one that we really don’t see going away anytime soon. We always see the debate and get asked tons of times, so it’s time to answer: should you really have a photo booth at your wedding?
In short, we think you absolutely should. There are so many reasons why; and so have a read at our top 12 reasons that a photo booth at your wedding is an absolute must.

We spoke to the husband & wife duo, Chandrani & Marlon, from The Best Magic Mirrors Mayfair to share their thoughts and discuss some of the best wedding photo booth trends that their couples have been loving this year.
The hardest part about getting all your wedding guests in one room and keeping them entertained. It’s an age old problem that couples face when planning their reception, or even speaking to their DJ: what’s the right genre for all ages? It only gets more and more complicated when you add children into the mix, and 87% of our couples said that they would definitely have them at their wedding (!).
That’s where a photo booth is a great interactive form of entertainment which truly appeals to guests of all ages: from children to the elderly.
Call us cheesy but we love to see a fridge full of happy memories with your loved ones. Even better when there’s tons of beautiful images with your loved ones on someones most special day. It’s an adorable reminder and also acts as a wedding favour that your guests are bound to appreciate.
Let’s be honest, your wedding reception is truly an amalgamation of individuals from different paths of your life. Other than the standard questions of “how do you know the couple” and “how far have you travelled”; encouraging your guests on tables to get into the photo booth together is a wonderful icebreaker.
Some couples even turn this into a competitive challenge throughout the night!
Your photographer can’t roam around and capture everyone throughout the night, and even when they do; we all know that we get extra posey when there’s a big light and camera in front of us. A photo booth is totally different and totally natural – that’s why we love it!
Believe us when we say that you are bound to capture tons of cute and candid moments. Often, photo booths take around 4 pictures – so one of them is bound to be something fun and unexpected.
Not only do your wedding guests love it, it’s something super special for you to look back on.
Much like every other aspect of your wedding, you want to be personalising your wedding entertainment. The perfect thing about photo booths is that you can do exactly that!
Whether it’s your theme, your wedding logo, your names or your decor: you can really get creative with it.
We know props aren’t for everyone; but we’re big advocates of DIY’ing or personalising your props to be suited to you, your partner and your journey.
You can choose to make them super cute or even push the boundaries with something cheeky, depending on your guests. It’s important to have fun with it.
Often, photo booths will give you 2x prints (or more, depending on the package!), and we love the idea of keeping a photo guest book next to the photo booth for people to slot a copy in there and sign with their well wishes for you.
It’s the perfect coffee table book and something that will help you relive the night every time you open it.
Whilst we all love the wedding dancefloor, everyone needs at least 5 minutes for a little break: that’s as long as you need for a photo booth! It’s something a little bit different and adds elements of variety to the night.
This is definitely one of our favourite reasons to opt for a photo booth for your wedding. Similar to your wedding photography, you will see the vibe change throughout the night when you have a photo booth. Whether it’s the effect of everyone letting loose, spending more time at the bar, or letting their hair down on the dance floor: you are guaranteed to smile from ear-to-ear as you look at the pictures throughout the night.
