Congratulations to all you newly engaged couples!
In recent years, we have seen weddings return to normality after the Covid-19 wedding disruptions, and now the wedding scene is truly thriving with new & unique trends that we are obsessed with.
For those of you planning your 2024 wedding, this ones for you. We’ve rounded up the greatest Indian fashion trends 2024, for you to keep an eye out for and incorporate into your big day.
Looking for more 2024 trends? Have a read here at our favourite ceremony & event trends.
Honestly, we think it’s bye-bye to the year of neutrals! Next year is all about the true-tone colours and bold prints. Whether it’s block print or embroidered prints, we’ve seen beautiful motifs with all the designers – Sabyasachi, Manish Malhotra, Tarun Tahiliani & more.
Sequins are back! Not just as part of an outfit, we mean the full-blown sequin fabric outfits – and we’re obsessed.
Whether it’s a lehenga, a suit, or a saree, we’ve seen each designer incorporate sequins in their own unique & beautiful way. Stay tuned to see a lot more of this whilst you’re out bridal shopping.
For womenswear & menswear, silver jewellery and undertones are in full effect for 2024. Usually, we see golden undertones for the wedding and silver undertones for the reception; but next year, we predict there will be an equal split for both.
This is especially going to be the case for destination weddings, where silver looks so stunning in the sunlight.
We saw this trend recently in Parineeti Chopra’s wedding, where she opted for a double dupatta with a different across-the-chest drape. We could already see veils emerging as a key trend, but unique draping techniques will become more and more common; specifically when working with a bridal stylist.
This is a unique change that we truly didn’t expect – and we’re here for it! Some couples will opt for saree’s for their wedding day, especially with some sort of significance from their parents or ancestors.
Also let’s be honest, some people definitely find a saree to be more comfortable & versatile for the future, than lehengas. Seems like a pretty practical choice to us.
Whether it’s your pre-wedding event or your kaleerey, floral jewellery is well and truly trending in all it’s glory. It’s super statement and minimalist at the same time – as well as a major perk of being so much more lightweight than heavier jewels.
This one is one of the most special trends that we’re seeing in the upcoming years. Increasingly, couples are opting to embroider their vows, notes from their loved ones, or special wedding dates into their wedding outfits. It’s the perfect way to personalise your look, without taking away from the natural beauty of the designs.
We saw a lot of these hems in 2023, and will definitely see more in 2024. Bead-drop tassel hems are trending, and it’s definitely one of our favourites. It adds so much subtle character to any outfit, and is a fun way to get creative.
This stunning Manish Malhotra piece embodies many of the trends we’ve spoken about: sarees, beaded hems, and long-sleeve blouses. We know that 2023 was all about the 3/4 length sleeves, but next year will see the return of stunning full-length blouses.
Net sarees and outfits are on the surge again! This was a big trend around a decade ago, and now we’ve seeing it back: in sarees, shararas, lehengas, and so many different silhouettes.
These stunning Tarun Tahiliani pieces embody net in a super flattering way.
